We have an immediate career opportunity for a seasoned Geotechnical Engineer.  This is an excellent opportunity to join a 500+ person engineering firm located in Elmwood Park, NJ.  This is a Project Manager level position and candidates will be working on large-scale projects.

Job Duties to Include the Following:

 

Ø  Will be working on a wide variety of challenging projects and must have diverse and proven geotechnical engineering experience, preferably in the NJ / NY metropolitan area. 

Ø  The candidate must have the ability and desire to develop new clients and expand services of existing clients while maintaining strong billability.

Ø  The candidate will be responsible for assisting with the preparation of proposals, technical reports, specifications and construction plans, recommending foundation systems, and must have had previous comprehensive field experience associated with subsurface investigations and foundation construction.

Ø  Experience in underground construction a plus. 

Ø  In addition, the candidate will be responsible for running projects, managing billings, reviewing the work of staff, mentoring, managing performance and interacting with Associates and Principals within the firm.

 

Job Requirements:

 

Ø  MUST have MS degree with geotechnical specialty.

Ø  MUST have New Jersey and/or New York P.E. license.

Ø  Minimum 7 years of US geotechnical consulting experience.

Ø  Strong leadership and decision-making skills.

Ø  Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ø  Excellent interpersonal skills.

Ø  Must be self-motivated and responsible.

Ø  Ability to work well with others as well as working independently.
