Outside Sales Contractor

A fifth generation, family-owned business, French Gerleman has served the regional community for 85 years. From our humble beginnings as a small motor repair shop in downtown St. Louis, we’ve grown to offer one of the largest inventories and selection of leading automation, electrical, datacom and power transmission products in Missouri, Illinois and Kansas.

French Gerleman is seeking an experienced Outside Sales professional to concentrate on our Building Contractor electrical business in our Lenexa, Kansas location. This person will call on contractors and other key clients to promote electrical supply products for building projects.  This includes but not limited to sales presentations, product knowledge training, and some joint sales calls with management and vendors.  This position will report to the Branch Manager. The right sales candidate will be the foremost contact for the clients and will be responsible for building and continuing relationships with our clients.  This role will involve an aggressive approach to hunting for prospective clients as well as some account management.

Requirements:

·  3-5 years sales experience with proven track record of success in the electrical or lighting industry.

·  Candidate must have a proven sales record of growth with past employers.

·  BS preferred, but not required
