Operations Manager/Senior Environmental Consulting Manager  (Seller/doer) Tallahassee   The Company · Tetra Tech NUS, a $65 Million/year subsidiary of Tetra Tech, Inc. · An environmental consulting and engineering firm that provides government and commercial clients with the highest quality service.  · Tetra Tech is consistently ranked in the top five of ENR’s Top 200 Environmental firms. · Total revenues of Tetra Tech, Inc. are in excess of $1 billion and typically enjoy double-digit growth.   Report To · Regional Manager located in Pittsburgh, PA.   Location · Tallahassee, FL   Responsibilities   · The successful candidate will have primary responsibility to develop and grow private sector environmental compliance and/or site investigation/site remediation consulting business in the Tallahassee area. · In cooperation with other regional offices, the successful candidate will develop and implement business strategies, set annual marketing budgets, and prepare for bidding opportunities to meet stated business metric goals. · Lead and conduct the sales efforts in the environmental remediation and/or consulting practice, and be able to personally win at least $500,000 annually of environmental remediation and/or consulting services with commercial clients. · The successful candidate will also act as the project or program manager and main client contact for any work attained, including -  Ensuring timely, quality, and cost-effective work  -  Maintaining effective client communications -  Collecting receivables · Lead, mentor and grow a 15-person office of environmental professionals.   Key Skills · Twelve (12) plus years experience in developing private sector business for an environmental consulting firm. · Recent contacts in the Tallahassee region that will facilitate sales growth.  · High-end consulting experience in more than one environmental area is desirable.  · Must demonstrate the ability to attract and retain private sector clients in the Tallahassee region, and build backlog, revenue, profit, direct labor and ROI over time.  · Possess program and project management capabilities and experience effectively balancing direct and indirect utilization rates.    Personal Skills · High level of written and oral communication skills.  · Ability to work and collaborate with employees at all levels and disciplines. · Ability to succeed in a team oriented organization interfacing with a variety of different groups to accomplish project objectives. · Experience in recruiting, screening and hiring skilled personnel a plus. · Ability to mentor and develop junior staff. · High-energy leader with excellent business sense. · Strong presence and presentation skills. · Team builder. · Sets high personal goals and is motivated towards achievement.   Education · BS degree or equivalent in any of the multi-disciplined environmental sciences, engineering, or geologic sciences.  · MS degree or equivalent in any of the multi-disciplined environmental sciences, engineering, or geologic sciences (desirable). · MBA in business administration (desirable). · Registration of certification (highly desirable).   Job Code : NUS/TALL/OPERATIONS MANAGER/SR Division/Department : Tetra Tech Travel Required : None Location: Tallahassee, FL 32308 Job Status/Type: Full Time, Employee Job Category: Engineering Occupation: Environmental and Geological Engineering Work Experience: 5+ to 7 Years Career Level: Executive (SVP, VP, Department Head, etc) Education Level: Bachelor's Degree Reference Code: 4126 Tetra Tech is a leading provider of consulting, engineering, and technical services worldwide.
