NVH Senior Project Engineer

Your Role:

We are looking for an NVH Senior Project Engineer who is motivated by variety, who enjoys new experiences, and technical challenges. As an NVH Engineer you will work with our customers by providing data and engineering resolutions. You will be expected to maintain a level of tact and diplomacy and yet manage projects to meet the quoted financial targets. The position is located at our Livonia facility.

Duties:

· The scope of work includes vehicle & powertrain NVH diagnosis / troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and development. Markets include lawn mowers, passenger cars, heavy trucks, and off-highway equipment

· Provide our customers with the technical “presence� to give them confidence in our ability to execute the programs we quote

· Provide technical assistance and training to internal technical staff

Requirements:

· Minimum BS degree in Engineering

· 3+ years of experience in noise & vibration of vehicles or other powered equipment (heavy trucks or off-highway equipment)

· Candidate must have the training, experience, and ability to strengthen our NVH powertrain / vehicle development group technically

· Must be self-motivated and have a technical background that will inspire confidence in our customers

· Must have excellent ability to understand and perform theoretical and practical NVH signal processing

· Excellent interpersonal, verbal / written communication, and project management skills

· Must be able to develop rapport with engineering customers

Preferred Skills:

· MS or PhD degree in Engineering

· Structural vibration, acoustical measurement, and diagnosis skills using LMS

· Experience with noise and vibration hardware issues of engines, gearboxes, and transmissions

· Experience and prior relationships with OEM automakers and their staff
