Material Technician

Must be able to fluently read, write, speak, and understand English. Must have a minimum of 5 years relevant logistics/material control experience. Previous experience in the vehicle maintenance field highly desirable. Must be a self-starter able to perform the duties and represent the company in a one-deep position. Desktop computer skills are essential with proficiency in full range of Microsoft Office products and should be capable of preparing management level reports and presentations. Knowledge of Excel a must. Knowledge of Access highly desirable. NOTE: Positions scheduled/proposed; selection of candidates for interview and subsequent hire is contingent upon contract funding. Job Description : Monitors and orders AOG critical parts and tracks status of replacement parts. Manages daily status reports relavent to parts ordered for maintaing aircraft ground equipment. Coordinates with MSM to monitor shipping status of new buys/repair parts to include commercial and military avenues. Submits appropriate forms and data to maintain full mission aircraft. Monitors functional and supporting organization compliance with milestones and performance criteria. Coordinates and integrates tasking needed for execution from different functional organizations. Continuously evaluates the status and effectiveness of aircraft component support in all functional areas to ensure support plans and time-phased schedules are followed by all involved. Identify conflicting objectives and priorities, analyzes deficiencies, and takes necessary action to ensure projects are kept on course. Recommend policy and program enhancements. : : EOE M/F/D/V
