COMPANY:
TAS is a Houston-based privately owned company which provides engineered equipment modules for large chilled water & heating plants. These modular chilled water plants are used in gas turbine inlet air cooling systems for the Power Generation industry as well as for Process Cooling, District Cooling plants and large building chilled water central plant/HVAC applications. TAS also provides Combined Heat & Power (CHP) packaged systems as well as heat-to-power systems and absorption cooling systems. The Company provides all design, engineering, procurement, fabrication, and assembly as well as start-up, installation supervision and maintenance of these systems. The flagship products of the company are skid-mounted central chilled water plants ranging from 2,000 to 8,000 tons utilizing Trane’s Centrifugal Chillers and also large ammonia screw chillers from FES/GEA which are used for low-temperature process jobs or large air-cooled applications. All products are packaged in TAS’ 200,000 sq. ft. fabrication facility and mounted on large structural steel bases (skids) and prepiped and prewired to all the pumps, valves, controls, MCCs, cooling towers which are prewired and building enclosure to produce a complete industrial-quality chilled water plant which are shipped in truckable modules for easy shipment & field installation. OVERVIEW:
The Market Analyst position reports to the Director of Marketing and is a blended Market Management and Business Development role. TAS is working to further develop our position in selected vertical markets (electronics, life sciences, healthcare, etc.), to complete this task; TAS is focused on developing our relationships and knowledge of our key vertical markets.
This role requires a strong understanding of sales & marketing, understanding of business to business relationships, a professional presence, the ability to motivate/persuade others, strong written and oral communication skills and strong analytical skills. The Market Analyst should possess strong strategic conceptualization and analytical skill sets in the research, qualification and development of new market (macro) and sales prospect (micro) opportunities. The ideal candidate will possess a balance in interpersonal, qualitative and analytical skills. This position requires strong project management and organizational skills in the management of multiple priorities and supporting prospective customer needs in the initial stages of the sales cycle.
The SA deals effectively with a diverse group of important external callers and visitors, as well as internal contacts at all levels of the organization.
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Market Analyst will be responsible for supporting the Sales and Business Development functions in the following key areas, for assigned vertical segments:
· Manage TAS’ high value (or potentially) relationships
· Manage the organizations, governmental bodies, consultants, and other entities in each market - the “Market” Eco-system.
· Reviews industry trade magazines, conference attendee lists, websites, and other competitive industry materials, recommending changes in sales strategies/techniques
· Market research on the market segment(s)
· Direct TAS’ tactical marketing so it supports our Business Development and Sales effort
· Provide input into TAS’ product development processes
· Ensures compliance steps are completed and documented during the sales process.
· Assists Sales Managers in identifying and cultivating prospects and clients
· Follows-up on sales calls and customers developed by marketing and business development
· Provides prospects with requested materials, answering high-level product questions, providing performance data
· MEASURE the effectiveness of all these activities
Develops general correspondence, memos, and tables in support of the sales activities.
·Coordinates internal activities related to customer visits, luncheons, and seminars.
·Responsible for maintaining customer visit calendar and departmental calendars.
·Responsible for maintaining trade show calendar and supporting trade show administration and execution in the facilitation of all vertical market and industry trade show activity.
·Responsible for soliciting customer responses to customer satisfaction survey template and the subsequent internal coordination for follow up and resolution of issues.
·Fulfills literature requests and maintains records of distribution.
·Manages mass mail-outs of literature and Christmas cards.
·Maintains the marketing material inventory of brochures, CD’s, and give-aways.
·Assists the sales department with the preparation of presentation books for proposals and customer presentations.
·Manage customer and prospect contact information, support migration to a centralized CRM system and manage customer and prospect mass & direct mail communication once the database is established.
·Maintains all standard and custom presentations, photos, articles and other sales support materials as stored on the company’s internal network.
·Coordinate and manage customer events, road shows, seminars, etc. with logistics support.

JOB SKILLS:
· Very strong interpersonal, written, verbal and presentation communication skills.
· Commercial acumen and demonstrated ability to manage through challenging commercial situations.
· Project management skills, the ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects and the ability to manage qualitative as well as quantitative projects equally well.
· Excellent computer skills and knowledge of a variety of software applications. Microsoft Office Environment required as a minimum. Strong PowerPoint experience is required.
· Analytical ability is required to gather and summarize data for reports.
RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE:
· Minimum of three Five(53) years in the a business environment.
· Experience in marketing and/or sales in the business to business environment desired
· Experience in technical product marketing desiredperformance of responsible secretarial and administrative work or relevant experience in a commercial/industrial sales or marketing organization.
EDUCATION AND TRAINING:
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited three or four-year program is preferred

Ability to exert up to ten (10) pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Performs other physical activities including use of fingers, stooping, crouching, talking, hearing and performing repetitive motions. Visual acuity requirements include color, depth perception and field of vision necessary to prepare and analyze data and figures, operate a computer terminal and conduct extensive reading. The incumbent will be subject to inside environmental conditions.
