Mapping Tech - Job DEMT
ProLogis, a Fortune 500 company, is the leading provider of distribution facilities and services with distribution facilities owned, managed and under development in North America, Europe and Asia.
ProLogis is seeking a Mapping Technician at our Corporate Headquarters in Denver. Our office is located near Pena Blvd. and I-70.
Duties and responsibilities include the following:
Geocoding map databases using various geocoding engines and online research and toolsHeavy use of aerial imagery and vector overlaysAbility to source public use mapping data to include FEMA, LULC, and DemographicProducing site location maps using MapInfo and aerial imagerySource and obtain global aerial imagery using various vendors and online toolsCoordinating the creation of presentations using maps and aerialsProducing thematic and analytical mapping as requiredUsing online mapping tools, County GIS websites, and public data to obtain information and
supplement mappingMaintain property, competition, imagery, acquisition/disposition and other internal mapping databasesProduce esthetically pleasing presentations and exhibits for management, investment, customer proposals, due diligence, research and marketing
Qualifications include the following:
Bachelors degree in Geography, Library Sciences or a Business related field2+ years of related work experience Proficient in MapInfo, MS Office Suite, graphics manipulations and Internet researchFamiliarity with Google Earth Pro, Online geocoding engines and sources for aerial imagery preferredExcellent written and oral communication skillsMust be diligent and have meticulous attention to detailHighly motivated, positive, process-oriented, organized and Able to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
