Our Client is looking for someone who best meets the description of the duties below….if the list of responsibilities below is a match for what you have done, we are looking at a good fit!The responsibilities of this Manufacturing Supervisor role will be varied, but will include the supervision of workers engaged in the layout and machine operation to fabricate structural sheet metal products by performing the following duties: Requisitions material required to meet production goals. Examines items produced to determine if items meet specifications. Studies production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment. Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations. Interprets specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers, and assigns duties. Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules. Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product. Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew. Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems. Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals. Maintains time and production records. Sets up machines and equipment.Supervisory Responsibilities: Directly supervises 1 to 2 employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities may include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.This is an estimated contract to hire position through Volt Technical Resources- a division of a Fortune 1000 publicly traded Staffing Industry Leader, located in Portland, Oregon.
