 Description:

 

To provide supervisory support to Manufacturing Department.

 

Essential Duties (considering job knowledge, job environment, effort, manipulative skill, judgment, safety knowledge, and responsibility):

 

Perform all job duties using safe work methods. Provide guidance, support, and motivation to manufacturing department managers and supervisors. Provide technical support to Manufacturing Department to improve processes and quality. Attend meetings as needed. Interface with all plant management. Must work on noting improvement recommendations on existing processes; work with department supervisors and managers to appropriately identify and address the root cause associated with any performance, and quality issues.

 

Review process performance; work with manufacturing to identify root causes and to develop and initiate improvement plans. Identify, design, and implement process improvements strategies as well as evaluate new technologies; review procedures and provide necessary technical support to manufacturing. Audit processes throughout and identify opportunities for improving function, setup, and appearance, and overall processes. 

 

 Coordinate activities of department in the absence of the department msupervisor. Support Six Sigma Process and Rapid Continuous Improvement efforts. Bachelors Degree required. Preferred discipline in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering. Must have at least one (3-5) years experience in a manufacturing .

 

Must possess excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
