Because of our recent growth, we currently have an opening for a Manager, Facilities and Plant Engineering at our New Castle, PA facility.

This position supports the objectives of the ISA (International Specialty Alloys) entity with primary direction from the Operations Manager.   Ensures value added operations are performed cost effectively, on time, with required quality by an appropriately trained work team.  Ensures compliance with OSHA regulations and Kennametal EHS Policies, trains new employees in company safety policies and procedures and plant engineering, facilities, and maintenance procedures and processes.  In addition, the qualified candidate is responsible for leading all facilities and plant engineering efforts as well as monitoring, maintaining, relocating and continuously improving the operations of the plant production equipment, facilities, and properties in a safe and cost effective manner across three Manufacturing facilities on all shfits.

 
Experience and Skills:


This position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Facility Management, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Discipline with a minimum of 5 to 7 years of industrial plant engineering, EHS and facility maintenance experience. Must be computer literate and have the ability to use the current business system, particularly project management and project cost management. In depth knowledge of industrial electricity, process gas distribution, and equipment control electronics is needed. In addition to the work experiences, proven supervisory leadership experience is desired. Five years of plant engineering management,equivalent experience, and prior facilities management experience is preferred. This position requires an individual who has a strong ethical background and is commited to contributing to a safe work environment. This position requries a person who has worked closely in successfully implementing TPM, OEE and predictive maintenance programs.
