Machine Maintenance Technicians

Owen Oil Tools designs and manufactures a range of downhole tools; Perforating Guns, Shaped Charges and Detonators, Tubing Conveyed Perforating Tools, Pipe Recovery Products, Bridge Plugs, Setting Tools, Power Charges and Casing/Tubing Patch Systems.  The Bridge Plug line ranges from standard bridge plugs to wide range plugs composed of drillable materials.  This product line is currently being expanded to include high technology materials and extended performance.

The manufacturing group has two openings for highly qualified and motivated individuals for the position of Machine Maintenance Technician in the Godley, Texas location.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Maintains, fixes, services, and overhauls or replaces defective parts to ensure machine is operating at the highest level possible and to prolong life of the assigned equipment.

· Ensures assigned equipment is in accordance with manufactured and company specifications.

· Makes preventative maintenance checks and inspection of assigned equipment.  Reports to Management and takes appropriate action for repairs, which may require planning.

· Assists and directs service personnel such as:  Machine Operator, Lift Operator, Truck Drivers, and Welders in standard operating procedures and requirements.

· Performs preventative maintenance grease, oil, changes filters and belts or other useable items.

· May be required to operate equipment during relief periods and while troubleshooting equipment.

Education and Experience

· High School Degree or GED. 

· 10 years experience in a manufacturing work environment.  Hands-on experience and training with Hydraulic, Pneumatic, Electrical Wiring and NEC code, and PLC programming required.  Must have good working knowledge of Machining and Welding.

· Valid driver’s license and good driving record is required.  Must be able to pass an ATF background check.
