GeoEngineers, a leading national earth science and technology consulting firm, is seeking a talented Laboratory Technician for our Redmond, Wash., location.
Our Laboratory Technician will be responsible for scheduling tests and assuring that the tests are completed in accordance with appropriate standards (such as ASTM specifications) and at an acceptable level of quality. Also responsible for the planning and maintenance of laboratory facilities.
Preferred Qualifications: High School education or equivalent. Minimum of one to three years experience in a related field. Ability to carry out verbal or written instructions, as well as to retrieve and interpret information from technical manuals. Knowledge of various soil and water characteristics and the application of test results in engineering analyses. Attention to detail and skill in working with numbers including mathematical calculations involving percentages, fractions and decimals. Familiarity with standard office machines and working knowledge Microsoft Office applications. Ability to perform a wide range of physical activities and perform medium to heavy work including occasionally lifting over 50 pounds and exerting up to 50 pounds of force.
