ENSR||AECOM has an opening for a Junior-Mid Level Geologist (level dependent on qualifications and experience) in our Manhattan, NY office. The successful candidate will assist with gathering and analyzing geological and hydrogeological data in both the field and office settings. The field activities will consist of air, soil, groundwater and sediment sample collection, geological logging and interpretation, and the oversight of investigation and remediation subcontractors including laboratories and excavation and drilling companies.  The ideal candidate will successfully demonstrate achievement, proficiency, and progressive responsibility in the following areas:  * Collecting and evaluating environmental data in field and office settings* Preparing investigation reports and drawings* Technical report writing* Investigation cost estimating* Identifying, preparing and demonstrating compliance with relevant permits* Independent field work and leadership of field teams* Contractor oversight  Candidate must have a bachelor's degree in geology (master's degree a plus) as well as 0 to 5 years of experience, preferably in environmental consulting. Demonstrated knowledge or experience in one or more of the following areas is a plus: manufactured gas plant sites; New York/New Jersey environmental regulations; remedial investigations, contractor management and project management.
