Our client is seeking a Junior Engineer/Scientist for a Direct- Hire position with the following skills: BS in Civil, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering.Prior environmental remediation work in one or more of the following areas: excavation and disposal of contaminated materials, chemical stabilization, bioremediation, groundwater treatment, POL recovery, landfill capping, soil vapor extraction, UXO removal support, wetlands restoration, and environmental construction.OSHA 40-Hr HAZWOPER certification preferred.

Duties

 

The Junior Engineer/Scientist will provide a combination of office and field support for environmental remediation program tasks as needed.  He or she will work alongside field crews, mid-level civil, mechanical, and environmental engineers under the direct management of the Project/Program Manager.  Candidates will be expected to assist with engineering work planning, assessments, data interpretation, field evaluations, environmental sampling, trend analyses, quality assurance, and project report preparation.

 

 

Some travel is required as the Junior Engineer/Scientist will be needed to assist with field work at various project sites in the mid-Atlantic region.
