Intermediate Production Technician
Integrates/installs electronic equipment and cabling (AC and DC power, network, data, signal) within a controlled design, integration and development environment with minimal supervision. Performs light mechanical and electrical duties to include modification of military vehicles and shelters, light sheet metal repairs and modifications, and attaching external and internal hardware. Prepares regular, accurate, legible, and timely installation, service, and production records for peer review and quality purposes. Frequently lifts heavy objects with and without assistance, following proper safety precautions. Routinely operates material handling equipment to situate material. Candidate may provide mid-level supervision of other production technicians and will work closely with quality control, logistics, and design teams within a controlled project process.Bachelor of Science in mechanical and/or electrical engineering plus military vehicle and systems training preferred.Must possess a mechanical and electrical aptitude. Experience reading engineering drawings is a plus.Technical Skills (Must Have): Candidate must have 4+ years progressive experience specifically in basic manufacturing planning, understanding of military specifications and certifications, engineering change process, design modification and use of CAD in a manufacturing process development. Ability to operate in a multitasking project environment and ready to adapt to daily shifting priorities set by senior managers and the customer.Technical Skills (Preferred): Knowledge of military platform systems and vehicles preferred. Some mid-level team leadership possible. Warehouse/ office environment
