We are currently hiring in Lawrenceville, GA for the following: Information Security Engineer SUMMARY DESCRIPTION: Enterprise Information Protection is responsible for directing and executing enterprise-wide Information Security. There is an immediate need within the department for a Security Engineer to provide technical consulting knowledge across various platforms and applications across the organization. The applicant will be responsible for the evaluation, definition, integration, and management of Information Security technologies and processes across varying architectures and platforms.MAJOR DUTIES: This position will require negotiation and communication skills in defining pre-implementation system security guidance and conducting post-implementation risk evaluations and follow-up. This position will be looked to for a broad range of networking, platform, and security knowledge and best-practices. Essential Responsibilities: Perform security discovery of current infrastructure and identify gaps between existing procedures, corporate policy, and industry standards/best practices. Play a key role in establishing and enhancing the architecture of platform-specific information security policies for the enterprise, and compliance to industry regulations and standards. Ensure that standards are met and maintained through the implementation of automated and/or manual tools and related metrics reporting. Effectively utilize the architecture and platform-specific security tools to perform vulnerability analysis, monitoring, intrusion detection, incident response, risk analysis, and policy enforcement/compliance. It is expected that these responsibilities are carried out with minimal direct supervision.POSITION REQUIREMENTS: The applicant must possess a demonstrated track record of success in designing and managing large, complex, global initiatives in a diversified and dynamic environment. The candidate will work closely with other technical resources focused on security-related products, services and tools to execute a comprehensive security strategy for the company. This position requires mature judgment and well above average verbal and written communication skills.Required Experience: 5 + years of proven experience in consulting to various groups on security matters as a recognized technical expert. 2 + years of current experience in security concepts including, but not limited to: network vulnerability assessment, real-time intrusion detection and prevention, encryption, VPNs, client and enterprise firewalls, application security assessment, database security, and wireless security. 5 + years working with and understanding business needs, with the ability to establish and maintain a high level of customer trust and confidence. 5 + years proven verbal, written and presentation skills to internal customers. 2 + years interacting with a variety of clients at the executive, managerial, and technical levels, and ability to act as a security advocate within a large corporate environment. Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics) or additional equivalent experience equal to 5 years working directly with information security and/or IT network technologies. Ability to travel 10%Preferred Experience: Strong understanding of Cisco network design, configuration and management. Strong implementation and operational experience with intrusion detection and prevention technologies, enterprise patch management, firewalls, anti-virus and anti-spyware solutions, and wireless security (802.11, 802.16, Bluetooth, and cellular wireless). Proven experience in deploying and managing an enterprise-wide vulnerability management process/system. Proven experience with major network protocols, products, software, and hardware. Hands-on experience with security configuration of Windows and Linux-based platforms. Hands-on experience with security configuration of UNIX-based systems is a plus, but not required. Windows scripting, VB scripting, C, C++, Java, and Perl programming experience is a plus.
