ITS Engineer (Intelligent Transportation Systems)

ITS (Intelligent Transportation Systems) Engineer – Tampa, FL

We are looking for an ITS Engineer to join our team in our Tampa office. Responsibilities will include the design of intelligent transportation systems and traffic engineering projects including all areas of engineering design standards and procedures including basic intersection, roadway, traffic signal and intelligent transportation system design. Utilize state DOT design standards on a day to day basis in the design of intelligent transportation project. The design includes the use of CAD applications, writing equipment specifications and contract requirements, calculating equipment quantities and construction estimates. The position includes interaction with clients and solid writing and communication skills.

Requirements:

• 5 to 8 years of experience in the roadway/highway/transportation engineering field
• Strong knowledge of ITS deployments
• Plans production capabilities
• Effective communications both verbal and written
• Bachelors or Masters in civil engineering
• PE required
• At least 5 years of experience in transportation with progressive responsibility, at least 2 years of management responsibility and at least 2 years of ITS experience
