Hydrologist / Drainage Water Resources Engineer
Education: BS, Civil EngineeringExperience:Requires a minimum of 8 years experience working on Civil Engineering projects, with an emphasis in hydrology and hydraulics. Licenses, certifications, and/or registrations required: Professional EngineerRequires ability to perform hydrologic and hydraulic analysis and data collection for both open channel conditions and storm water designs. Experience using HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS and other stormwater modeling software important to performing work.Candidate must demonstrate experience supervising a team of mid-to entry level engineers and GIS staff in completing complex hydrology and/or drainage projects Job Description : This position will be the 6th position in the SLC Water Service Department. It will be a mid-level position, reporting to the department manager. The position will provide support for 1) DFIRM map modernization work, 2) transportation drainage designs, 3) transportation design/build work and 4) other municipal water and wastewater planning and design work.Individual will be responsible for completing assignments by incorporating other staff and directing their work. Position reports to the Water Service Department Manager.Candidate will interact heavily with the Transportation group in completion of drainage designs. Hydrologic and hydraulic work will require extensive coordination with the GIS group.xurs02xURSCB016 : : EOE M/F/D/V
