HYDRAULICS / HYDROLOGY CIVIL ENGINEER - Dare HR
Our Firm, Dare Human Resources, has been selected by one of the world's oldest and leading construction and engineering Firm to assist them with their multi- staffing needs at the Firm's major Hydroelectric power project in Montreal, Quebec. We are currently seeking an experienced HYDRAULICS / HYDROLOGY CIVIL ENGINEER.
The successful candidate will be called upon to design hydraulic infrastructures, such as aboveground and underground drainage systems, spillways, channels and energy dissipation basins, to name a few. Among the duties, you will perform hydrological studies which include climatology, statistics, probate maximum precipitation maximum flood, flood routing and hydrological modeling.
Other duties include but not limited to - managing the watershed planning; designing drainage systems; dam breach studies and inundation; wave studies and designing erosion protection infrastructure; as well as designing the hydraulic design of pump stations.
QUALIFICATIONS
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a hydrology / hydraulics concentration;
• A Master's degree would be an asset;
• Must be proficient in English (written and oral) with a knowledge of French (written and oral);
• Knowledge of the water management field;
• Knowledge of methods and tools for analysis in the field of water resources, including HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS;
• Three (3) -- five (5) years of relevant experience in the urban, hydroelectric or mining sector.
