Your Ingenuity is welcome!This position will manage the daily interaction & logistics with customer groups attending large tonnage chiller (LTC) witness testing on the San Antonio (SAT) campus. The position will serve as the lead technical & business representative for any issues or questions that arise from customer witness testing. This position will also facilitate necessary customer tours and information sessions on the SAT campus. Additionally, this position will work & coordinate on a daily basis with the SAT campus test block supervisor so that maximum utilization of the facility is achieved. The position will also interface as necessary with the LTC testing facility in York, PA to effectively coordinate testing. This position will have direct reporting responsibility to the lab manager in York, PA and dotted line reporting responsibility to the plant manager of the SAT operation. PRINCIPAL DUTIES: 1. Responsible for managing daily interaction & logistics with customer groups attending large tonnage chiller witness testing. 2. Answer technical questions and queries from customers groups including presentation and explanation of witness test data. 3. Facilitate SAT campus tours as necessary for visiting customer groups. 4. Coordinate customer visits and LTC witness testing with SAT campus test block supervisor to maximize utilization of the facility and insure test block and equipment availability. 5. Serve as the primary customer facing SAT campus technical representative for Johnson Controls. 6. Act as a technical liaison between SAT, visiting customers and LTC York, PA engineering group. 7. Assist in the resolution of any technical issues with current test data acquisition software programs. 8. Lead the installation and management of future test data acquisition software programs (Labview). 9. Interface as necessary with the York, PA LTC test facility personnel to effectively coordinate witness testing between the 2 sites. 10. Maintain effective working relationships and communications with all internal customers to ensure that products meet requirements. This position requires a BS Engineering degree along with at least 4 years of engineering experience. Must possess a strong, well-rounded technical background with knowledge of large tonnage chiller design & operation. Must be technically astute, with demonstrated customer-facing skills and personality. Demonstrable personnel and business management skills. Must be able to work effectively with cross functional and multi-geographical teams. Ability to travel 10%. Full appreciation and understanding of various computer based engineering tools, as well as computer support systems in an office environment. Proficient in Microsoft Suite Applications (Word, Excel, Access & PowerPoint) as well as Internet software and E-mail is required. Technical understanding of current and future test block data acquisition software programs including Labview. ASSIGNMENT DURATION: This position is currently scoped as a 2 year rotational assignment in San Antonio. However, a longer duration in SAT is negotiable at the request of the candidate.
