HSE Regulatory Assistant

 

SUMMARY

Provide support to the Environmental department and/or related projects. Duties include regulatory research, writing and some general clerical and project based work.  Project a professional company image through in-person and written interaction.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIESAssist in preparation of stakeholder correspondence and database maintenance, development of Open House materials, public notices, and public participation plans.Assist in socioeconomic, regulatory and other internet-based research.Coordinate and maintain records for multiple Projects’ correspondence.Maintain electronic library of filings with FERC, contractors, and clients.Maintain hard copy and electronic filing system. Create and modify documents using Microsoft Office. Perform general clerical duties to include but not limited to: photocopying, faxing, mailing, scanning, and filing. Setup and coordinate meetings, conferences and book travel arrangements.Take meeting minutes and circulate notes for approval and review.Document and presentation preparation.Order necessary project and office supplies.Support staff in assigned project based work. Other duties as assigned.

  ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES Coordinate projects with vendors while adhering to stringent deadlines and anticipating possible set-backs.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS Advanced writing skills required. Acquired through a 4-year college degree. Knowledge of Microsoft Office and telephone protocol. Duties require professional verbal and written communication skills. Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload with limited guidance.Calls for flexibility, excellent interpersonal skills, project coordination experience, and the ability to work well with all levels of internal management and staff, as well as outside clients and vendors.

  WORKING CONDITIONS

Working conditions are fast-paced but normal for an office environment.
