GIS Technician

We currently have an opportunity for a GIS Technician at our Bothell (Seattle) WA office. The Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Technician must have working knowledge of the ESRI ArcGIS software platform with demonstrated proficiency in its use and application. Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, Environmental Science, Planning, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field required. This is an entry level position, but work experience conducting spatial analysis, data conversion, scripting, and map production with ArcGIS software is preferred. Technical Cartographic Work will include: Collecting, analyzing, compiling, and interpreting cartographic data to resolve conventional problems, questions, or situations, using established criteria. Uses digital equipment and systems to analyze, compile, and prepare digital cartographic data. Performs quality control checks utilizing reports and maps to insure data meets specified standards.
