The Raleigh, North Carolina office of Greenhorne & O'Mara, Inc. has an opportunity for a GIS Technician II.

 

The ideal candidate must have these absolute and basic qualifications/requirements:

· Undergraduate degree in Geography or a related GIS field, or an Associate’s degree and two years experience in GIS applications

· Two years (2) minimum experience in GIS operations, imagery manipulation, and database management, including specific FEMA mapping experience

· Hands-on experience working with terrain data

· Working knowledge of ERDAS software and ESRI ArcGIS products

· Candidate must work well in a team environment

· Good communication skills

 

Job duties include GIS map production, spatial analysis, feature/attribute editing, and geodatabase design for water resources projects, with primary focus on floodplain map production.  GIS support of general civil markets.
