Fossil Power - Wiring Designers (Chicago, IL)

Position Description:

This position will offer you the opportunity to work on challenging and highly rewarding design projects for new generation power plants and upgrades and modifications to fossil power plant environmental and control systems. Your responsibilities will include the development of:* Single line relaying & metering diagrams* AC & DC schematic diagrams* Point to point wiring diagrams.* Cable schedulesIn addition, you will also have the opportunity to:* Conduct field walkdowns and data gathering at client facilities.* Supervise and mentor Designers.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have the following:* 10+ years of dedicated wiring and schematic design development/engineering experience.* Extensive AutoCAD and/or MicroStation design experience on plant or large facility projects.* High school diploma and 1 or more years drafting course work or equivalent technical experience. The candidate will have experience with:* Developing one-line, and relay and metering diagrams* Medium-voltage and 480V systems* Digital Control SystemsLeadership skills are required.
