Field Service Technician-Richmond, VA
Description:Eaton Corporation located in Richmond, VA has an immediate opening for a Field Service Technician. The primary function of the Service Technician is to provide field service engineering and technical assistance to customers in the areas of installation, testing, start-up, maintenance, repair, training and modification of electrical power distribution equipment, controls and rotating apparatus for commercial, petrochemical, mining, water and waste water and power generation facilities. Individuals must be capable of self-managing assigned projects for electrical equipment, including a working knowledge of electrical test and diagnostic equipment. Equipment includes circuit breakers, switchgear, motor control centers, relays, meters, programmable logic controllers, variable frequency drives, transducers, contactors, ground-grid systems, switchboards, panelboards and various other electrical equipment. Candidate must be able to deliver technical solutions to customers with a high degree of professionalism. Performs conventional less complex engineering assignments that may involve equipment or product design, testing of materials, preparation of specifications, process studies, or research investigations. Must be able to evaluate electrical distribution systems in compliance with industry (NEC, ANSI, UL and CSA) standards.
