Field Service Engineer
SP Industries, Inc. located in Warminster, PA, a leading manufacturer of specialty equipment for the domestic and international pharmaceutical, food, laboratory, and chemical industries is seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Support the daily operations of SP Industries through repair, preventive maintenance, calibration, testing, and installation of equipment manufactured by SP Industries and others.
Respond courteously and professionally to customers locations that have requested service on their evaporation equipment due to mechanical, electrical or software malfunctions. Travel required.
Efficiently and effectively diagnose malfunction and obtain required solution
Installation and customer training of new equipment
Preventive Maintenance as scheduled
Arrange for return of replaced parts or components when requested
Provide technical support to customers via phone, email, and fax. To include but not limited to:
· Supplying technical information
· Supplying documentation
· Quoting parts and service
· Updating customer database
Assist in demonstrations and sales presentations when required
Qualifications
Technical Skills including but not inclusive of:Refrigeration (EDP Universal Card)Basic understanding of PLC Controls including ladder logicFamiliarty and use of test equipmentFamiliarity and use of toolsPlumbing, including piping and solderingElectrical/ElectronicsMechanical Aptitude a mustDiverse background with a minimum of 10 to 15 years experience in refrigeration, fluids, plumbing, electrical, vacuum, software and controls desiredElectronic and software knowledge desiredMust be able to read schematics/printsKnowledge of PLC controlsProgramming knowledge of Visual Basic, Intellution, iFix, LabView a plusGood verbal and written skillsComputer experienceDiagnostic abilities Courteous customer service skillsGood organization and follow up skillsDegree or certificate from approved two year college or technical school in related field or equivalent education and experience.Heavy lifting required
