Responsible for providing timely and professional customer service by responding to service orders. Crewmember III - V:Basic Function:Serves as a member of a crew engaged in installing and repairing gas mains and service lines. Participates in making taps on mains and services. Operates heavy equipment. Provides technical assistance in installing and/or repairing gas main or service lines. Read meters and turns off customer premises. Protect meters sets from atmospheric corrosion by painting or replacing piping.Specific Requirements:Crewmember III:• Must possess a valid state Driver’s license with ability to obtain a CDL (class A) within 6 months• Must be Operator Qualified in accordance with Company PlanCrewmember IV:• A valid state Driver’s license and pass Company driving test• Possess CDL and skill in operating heavy equipment such as a backhoe, ditch witch & crane truck• Certification in mechanical fitting and certfication in plastic welding• Be Operator Qualified in accordance with Company PlanCrewmember V:• Possess a valid state Driver’s license and pass Company driving test• Certification in mechanical fitting and certfication in plastic welding• Possess CDL and skill in operating heavy equipment such as a backhoe, ditch witch & crane truck• Successfully pass locate school and demonstrate skill• Pass light up school and continue to do so as required• Be Operator Qualified in accordance with Company PlanAll positions require the following:• High School diploma or Equivalent• Must be a minimum of 18 years of age• Valid state driver's license and ability to pass DOT and Company driving tests Must be physically able to stoop, bend, crawl, walk, climb ladders, and lift weights in excess of 100 pounds. Ability to occasionally ascend and descend stairs and ladders is required. Must also have keen senses of smell, hearing, vision and color identification.
