FEA Structural Analyst

 

Belcan Engineering Group has an opening for a full time position in the structural analysis team. The position requires performing finite element non-linear and linear dynamic response analysis for a variety of light fabricated structures, and / or mechanical components on heavy duty, off-road and construction equipment and vehicles.Job Characteristics:Highly Desired:

·  Requires an accredited engineering MS or PhD degree (typically Mechanical or aero) or equivalent industrial experience and good working knowledge of numerical simulation software tools including structural analysis, but not limited to.

·  Incumbents have usually gained Ph.D in the nonlinear vibration and contact dynamics area or gained 5 to 10 years of industry experiences with MS on dynamic response analysis.

·  Experiences in dynamic response in nonmetallic structure, such as rubber and fiber reinforced composite.

·  Requires a self-starter with potential for technical leadership and coaching/teaching skills.

·  Must have ability to communicate technical information effectively with team members, as well as to managers and engineers in client business units. Desired:

·  Working knowledge of structural analysis software tools (e.g., ABAQUS, IDEAS, Hypermesh, LS-Dyna, NASTRAN).

·  Knowledge in general fatigue

·  Experience in failure mechanism of non-metallic structure is a plus
