Contract or Direct position – Tucson, Arizona.

 

 

BASIC FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:Contributory project team member in the fields of extractive metallurgy and heavy industrial chemicals produced from natural feed-stocksSupervises/performs tasks of process engineering on studies, projects and technical proposalsUsually acts as lead process engineer on one large project or on several smaller projects, proposals, studies and is responsible for routine management of all process engineering functions under the direction of project managerAble to represent the technology department and company to clientsMakes responsible technical and management decisions for all aspects of process design, technical development and plant start-up required for the execution of projects.

 

 

EDUCATION:Requires a B.S. (Met. or Chem. Eng.)Advanced degree desirable.PE desirable.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:Requires understanding/knowledge of basic extractive metallurgical unit processes, equipment and technologiesRequires strong written and verbal communication skills in the English language. Facility with Spanish language desirableRequires above-average competency with common PC-based software applications (e.g. MS-Office suite)Requires experience with computerized process modeling/simulation
Requires minimum of 5 or more years of relevant industry experience, including proven leadership/accomplishment in process role as lead engineer of medium to large size projects.
