EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, Kuwait-MIT Center for Natural Resources and the Environment, to be responsible for a variety of administrative and financial duties for the center, including supervision of an administrative assistant. Will travel a few times a year to Kuwait to assist in the development of current and new collaborative research projects, assist researchers in the preparation of research project proposals and progress reports, plan for workshops and an annual forum, and assist with quarterly and annual reporting and meetings. Will report to the director of the center. The Kuwait-MIT Center for Natural Resources and the Environment was established in 2005, in conjunction with the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Science, to foster collaborative research between MIT and Kuwaiti institutions in the areas of energy, water, and the environment.

REQUIREMENTS: strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. A Ph.D. in a technical field desirable, but those with suitable experience in administration will be considered. MIT experience helpful. MIT-00005727 8/12/08
