Excellent Opportunity for a Geotechnical Staff Engineer
Whitestone Associates Inc. is currently recruiting for a Geotechnical Staff Engineer to join our dynamic team in the Chalfont, Pennsylvania office. This is a fantastic opportunity for both an entry level individual or a more experienced candidate looking for an opportunity, with room for growth, in a successful engineering firm. Salary commensurate with experience.
Minimum Requirements:
· BS or MS in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering
· EIT (or on track to take FE exam)
· Desire to obtain PE
· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Overall Job Duties:
Position involves field and reporting aspects of geotechnical investigation, engineering, and inspection including field investigation by means of drilling, test pit investigation and other in-field sampling methods; geotechnical laboratory analyses; evaluation/calculation of soil bearing capacity and other geotechnical parameters; evaluation of foundation types and design parameters; report preparation; and construction phase testing, inspection and consultation.
Key Job Functions:
· Field supervision of soil borings, test pits, and construction earthwork.
· Preliminary geotechnical laboratory analysis.
· Boring layout and subcontractor coordination.
· Proposal and report preparation.
· Seasonal high groundwater evaluation
