We are seeking a project level environmental scientist or engineer who can lead and support investigation and remediation programs associated with property transfer, site cleanup, brownfields redevelopment, and other real estate-related projects. Projects range from site investigation through remediation system design, construction and operation and typically include data collection, analysis, documentation and reporting in accordance with the Massachusetts Contingency Plan (MCP). Technical assignments could include the management, coordination, or performance of exploratory drilling, soil sampling, groundwater sampling, soil gas sampling, surveying, general site reconnaissance, and the evaluation, selection and design of alternatives for soil and groundwater remediation, supervision of the installation of soil, groundwater and soil gas remediation systems, including system monitoring and maintenance. Work also involves the selection, coordination, and management of subcontractors, cost estimating, and management of the scope, schedule, and budget for various project tasks. The mentoring and management of Woodard & Curran project staff and interaction with clients and regulatory agencies will also play an important role in the candidate's success. Qualifications: - Knowledge of and experience implementing programs under the Massachusetts Contingency Plan (MCP) and other applicable environmental regulations. - Experience with a variety of contaminants and media including petroleum hydrocarbons, chlorinated VOCs, PCBs, metals, sediment and indoor air. - BS in civil/environmental engineering, hydrogeology, geology, environmental science or related discipline. - Masters degree preferred - 7+ years experience with environmental projects - Professional Registration (after 4 years in engineering field). - Membership in appropriate professional societies. - Excellent computer skills - Report writing skills are essential Woodard & Curran is an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer.
