Entry/ Junior Level Environmental or Chemical Engineer

An environmental consulting firm located in Denver, Colorado is currently seeking a motivated professional with a bachelor's or master’s degree in environmental engineering, geology or geological engineering and 1 to 5 years experience. Responsibilities of this position will include working under the direction of various project managers and senior technical directors for projects in air quality, groundwater and soil remediation, water quality, and wastewater. The successful candidate will be involved with a variety of environmental engineering work, such as, in-house laboratory studies; environmental field studies for sampling air, water quality, groundwater and surface water, sediment and soil, and wastewater; Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, as well as, conducting data analyses and reporting. This position will require proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office (modeling experience also preferred). The successful engineering candidate must have exceptional communication skills, the ability to interact well with staff and clients; an ability to conduct physical field work including heavy lifting, and a willingness to travel. This position will require direct interactions with clients, regulatory personnel, laboratories, and subcontractors as needed. Qualifications include: Minimum Bachelor’s in Environmental Engineering or Geological Sciences; 1-5 years environmental related experience; Exceptional verbal communications and written communications skills for the preparation and review of reports and other regulatory submittals; Modeling and GIS knowledge are desirable; HAZWOPPER 40-Hour Training preferred; E.I.T. or P.E. (preferred); and Proficient with current Microsoft Office software.
