Engineers for NRF

The Naval Reactors Facility (NRF) is operated for the Department of Energy by Bechtel Bettis, Inc., and is located at the Idaho National Laboratory (INL). NRF receives, examines and prepares naval spent nuclear fuel for temporary storage. The information derived from the examinations provides engineering data on nuclear reactor environments, material behavior, and design performance. This data is used to develop new technology and to improve the cost-effectiveness of existing designs.



NRF is seeking engineers to perform the following duties:



· Provide engineering direction for the handling, examination, and storage preparation work for naval spent nuclear fuel;

· Direct engineering design, maintenance, and repair of nuclear support facilities and general piping, ventilation, control, and electrical systems;

· Provide radiological engineering direction for the execution of nuclear work efforts.



Applicants for these positions must have a minimum of a BS Degree in Engineering from an accredited college. Applicants must possess strong communication, technical writing, problem solving and organizational skills.



US Citizenship is Required.



Applicants selected will be subject to a Federal background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified matter.
