There is a long term contract need for a Deputy Program Manager with experience in large industrial machinery equipment.Title: Engineering Project ManagerLocation: East Peoria, IL Duration: 2 year contract positionObjectives: *Lead the project with a "big picture" approach. * Ensure technical, engineering and manufacturing disciplines interface smoothly and communicate adequately. Duties: * Interface with design and manufacturing teams on a daily basis to resolve issues. * Create, manage and track program goals and schedule. * Monitor design, plans, drawings and goals with a system approach to resolve issues. * Make engineering and manufacturing decisions to ensure team members are following a clearly defined forward path towards the ultimate project goals. * Act as an open and clear channel of communications between individual team members. * Ensure technical information is fully distributed in the fullest manner to the proper teammates. * Provide a single voice for formal technical communications with the customer's engineering design and manufacturing teams. * Transcribe, document and log all formal technical communications with customer. * Facilitate incremental design and manufacturing reviews. * Interface with design, manufacturing and test personnel to resolve engineering issues, maintain a clear and focused path forward, and eliminate multiple efforts. * Monitor plans, drawings and goals to report deviations from technical specification and ensure proper integration at a system level. * Transcribe, document and log all formal contractual, technical and administrative communications within the project. Requirements: Mandatory requirements:US Citizenship or possess a valid EAD card.BS in Engineering or four year degree in related field of study. Must have experience with large industrial machinery equipmentFive years of experience in governmental business management Possess strong leadership, management and technical skills. Able to work independently and with others. Computer Skills, Word, Excel, Outlook and Microsoft Project Understand management to an integrated management schedule. Willing to travel throughout United States, ( up to 50% travel required) Travel, with possible extended stay, to design, manufacturing and test sites.
