Michael Baker Jr. Inc., a division of Michael Baker Corporation, seeks an Engineering Manager - Facilities- (Technical Manager III) for our Arlington, Texas office.

The Arlington office is primarily a transportation office with a focus on structures, roadway design, and roadway drainage design.  The office also supports traffic analysis and design, intelligent transportation systems (ITS) design, toll facility design, and roadway lighting design.  Our clients include TxDOT and NTTA; we work with the USACE on border patrol tactical infrastructure.  The Arlington office also supports a federal facilities practice that focuses on primarily DOD facilities, and an environmental practice that works on NEPA documentation and provides environmental studies for the transportation group.  The office is expanding its facilities division.



 

Under general supervision, the Technical Manager III, manages the work effort of a professional and technical staff in a specific area of technical expertise.  The position provides opportunities for designer of record responsibility and professional growth in an expanding organization.


Requirements include:BS/MS or BAE degree in an Engineering Discipline (mechanical, electrical, structural, or fire protection)15 Years of diversified technical, project management, and general management experience in Facility (Building) design in the area of Aviation, Commercial, Institutional/Higher Education, Light Industrial, or Government Projects.Licensed Professional Engineer, with immediate capability to be registered in Texas.LEED Certification is required, or must be obtained.Strong written and verbal communication skills.
