Engineering Administrative Assistant
Tonka Equipment Company is a leading designer and manufacturer of water treatment systems with over 50 years of successful experience. Tonka has supplied over 1800 groundwater and surface water systems to municipalities and industrial customers that operate in 46 states.
We’re looking for a strong Engineering Administrative Assistant who’s comfortable working in a team environment. The candidate we seek will meet the following requirements:
• Two-year degree or four-year degree
• Strong problem-solving and computer skills
• Database experience a plus (Access, SQL Server)
• Experience in an engineering / technical environment
• Able to exercise considerable independent judgment and discretion
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Ability to juggle many different tasks in a day
• Competency using Outlook, Word, Adobe, and Excel
• Ability to accurately type a minimum of 40 words per minute
• Good customer service and communication skills (verbal and written)
• Knowledge of office procedures and company policies and procedures
Duties include:
Assist Application Engineering Staff, including:Coordinate department meetings - prepare agendas, type meeting notes (bi-weekly)Coordinate AE Assignments (Bids and Job Baskets)Data entry of new pilot information (Access, MAS90)Distribute reports (bi-weekly)Maintain department OFI spreadsheet (bi-weekly)Coordinate travel arrangement
Perform administrative duties for the Drafting department, including: Copy, fax, distribute, file drawings as necessaryArchiving drawings as necessaryCreate inspection drawing binders for ShopMonthly department meeting minutes (schedule, prepare agenda, take notes, type and distribute minutes)Standard Fabrication Drawing meeting minutes (schedule, take notes, type and distribute minutes)Equipment Guide Meetings (monthly)
Perform administrative duties for the Purchasing/Fabrication dept, including: Fabrication Shop Vendor Meetings (monthly)Bi-weekly Department Meetings (schedule, prepare agenda, take notes)
