Position Summary:

Provides electrical or mechanical design, project management, and technical expertise on small to large projects.

 

Position Responsibilities: Provides complete mechanical or electrical designs in-line with project budges, schedules, and customer requirements.  Project design and implementation may include material specification and procurement, drafting/assembly, schematics, layouts, programming, setup, testing and debugging, installation, and startup. Participates in the approval of assembly or control system design and documentation with regard to meeting established quality, performance, and safety requirements.  Involved in the approval of customer acceptance and experimental tests. Provides project management for small to large size projects which may involve multiple departments.  Meets or exceeds margins by effectively planning and executing assigned project work. Interfaces with other departments to design, budget, and coordinate project work. Interfaces with other departments to design, budget, and coordinate projects. Maintains positive vendor relations in order to readily receive assistance on future projects. Maintains positive customer relations in order to increase the probability of repeat business. Demonstrates the ability to lead another engineer and/or designer on medium-sized projects. Assist with Sales by providing design concepts and cost estimates to Sales and Marketing.

 

Education & Experience:

Bachelor Degree in Engineering (BSEE or BSME) or equivalent experience.

Minimum of five years of electrical or mechanical engineering.

Experience in SolidWorks a plus for mechanical engineering.
