Our services emphasize the development and use of advanced Geographical Information Systems methodologies and customized software applications in the fields of floodplain analysis, stormwater management, and surface water quality. Watershed Concepts is searching for a Engineer III to work in the exciting fields of water resources, stream restoration and stormwater management. We are seeking an individual to perform as a: Senior Engineer for various water resources projects will be responsible for engineering duties and quality control of assigned projects.  Engineering duties include hydraulic and hydrologic modeling, water quality modeling, and stormwater management planning.  The person will help provide technical guidance and direction for other engineers, GIS specialists, and engineering technicians. Independently evaluates, selects and applies standard engineering techniques, procedures and criteria, using judgment in making minor adaptations and modifications. Performance at this level requires developmental experience in a professional position. Assistance is furnished on unusual problems and work is reviewed for application of sound professional judgment. Job Requirements:• Perform work which involves conventional engineering practice, but may include a variety of complex features. • Conduct independent investigations, studies, and complicated engineering analysis • Prepare reports, opinions, and recommendations for the approval of management concerning the project • Serve as quality control reviewer • Ensure conformance with standards, established engineering practices, and technical adequacy • Keep abreast of new scientific methods and developments in his/her specific field • Take necessary actions to ensure the project proceeds on schedule and within budget limitations • Implement and follow Company Quality Management System procedures • Performs other related duties as assigned. • Must be able to travel.Knowledge:Extensive knowledge of standard engineering practices, techniques, and procedures. Skills and Abilities: • Must have very detailed experience with at least one of the following programs:  HEC-1, HEC-HMS, HEC-2, HEC-RAS, TR-20, NWS DAMBRK, and/or SWMM.  • Detail oriented • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Strong analytical skills • Strong organizational skills • Proficient in the use of computers for making engineering calculations • The ability to interface well with clients and internal staff, prepare draft reports and correspondenceEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. Registration as Professional Engineer required. Active member of professional and/or technical society preferred. Experience: • Minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience. • Must be registered (either PE or PG) or be able to be registered within 6 monthsEEO HEC
