Performs mechanical design of electronics assemblies. Develop thermal models of designs. Create CAD models of components and assemblies. Perform fit check and tolerance analysis of assembled components. Define interconnection designs for circuit cards and assemblies. Perform stress and vibration calculations to analyze design. Able to work in a team environment and interface with electrical and manufacturing engineers to realize the design. Basic knowledge of the materials and processes used in circuit card design and assembly is beneficial Requires B.S. degree, preferably in Mechanical Engineering or in a technical area of science and research with a minimum of 2 years experience or a MS degree with no experience.
