SALARY: $4,524 - $7,239 / Monthly
JOB DUTIES:
Provide Civil/Structural Engineering Design Reviews. Originate discipline specific engineering calculations and evaluations. Provide civil/structural engineering design support. Perform structural inspections and approve work requests related to design changes and modifications to facilities and/or appurtenances to facilities.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Technical knowledge of related engineering systems, engineering calculations, applications of engineering and construction methods and materials, and engineering application of computers. Knowledge of industry and regulatory standards and design criteria pertinent to Civil/Structural Design Engineering. Ability to apply technical skills of civil/structural engineering to the design of facilities and/or appurtenances to facilities; ability to prepare, read, and/or interpret complex engineering drawings; ability to conduct formal presentations to plant personnel and other interested parties; ability to review cost estimates of projects for technical accuracy; ability to perform duties as a project design team member to coordinate and prepare technical aspects of engineering projects from inception to completion including project reviews, preliminary designs, design criteria, specifications, calculations, and design drawings; ability to review project submittals for compliance with project requirements; and ability to present information clearly and effectively through the oral and written word.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, and/or holds a Texas Professional Engineering License (PE), combined with at least 2 years of related experience. AND The applicant must meet the requirements of DOE O 5480.20A Pantex site implementation (i.e., Bachelors' in engineering or related science, 2 years job-related and at least 1 year nuclear experience).
Note: Entry-level positions without the authority to supervise, make independent decisions, or review and concur do not have to meet the job-related and nuclear experience requirement. Ref. (DOE O 5480.20A).
