Engineer I - Senior (I & C - Craig, CO)
Tri-State is a Denver based progressive and rapidly growing non-profit consumer owned wholesale supplier of electric power to forty-four distribution cooperatives in Colorado, Wyoming, Nebraska and New Mexico. With over 1100 employees, Tri-State operates and maintains fossil fuel power plants with owned coal-fired capacity of 1826 megawatts, gas turbines with 526 megawatts of capacity, and over 5000 miles of high voltage transmission lines.
Responsible for planning, directing and coordinating the designing, evaluating, and implementing of power plant instrumentation and control systems.
Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical or Instrument/Controls Engineering.
Engineer Senior: Eight (8) years of progressive related experience, including power plant or industrial instrumentation and control design and operations and maintenance experience.
Engineer III: Five (5) years progressive related experience, including power plant or industrial instrumentation and control design and operations and maintenance experience.
Engineer II: Two and one half (2 1/2/) years of progressive related experience, including power plant or industrial instrumentation and control design and operations and maintenance experience.
Engineer I: Zero (0) to Two and one half (21/2) years of progressive, related experience, including power plant or industrial instrumentation and control design and operations and maintenance experience.
Extensive knowledge of power generation electrical systems.
Willingness to travel, as required. (Possession of a valid current driver's license, or ability to obtain).
