Individual will focus on defining customer needs and required functionality early in the development cycle, documenting requirements, then proceeding with design synthesis and system validation while considering the complete problem: operations; performance; test; manufacturing; cost & schedule; training & support; and disposal. - Derives system level requirements and performs Voice of the Customer requirements analysis and requirements management. - Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. - Develops system architecture, interface control documentation, and system design. - Performs system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk management, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. - Analyses are performed at all levels of total system life cycle, to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance, support and disposal. - Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.Requirements - Engineering experience in a development environment. - Engineering experience in an Integrated Product Team (IPT) environment. - DoD industry experience. - Electro-mechanical device with embedded software experience. - Requirements Management Tool experience. - Ability to qualify for DoD Secret clearance. - Systems Engineering process knowledge. - Direct Systems Engineering experience. - Defense industry or military experience. - Communication skills - written and oral. - Interpersonal skills / team player. - Technical direction and leadership skills experience. - Cost and schedule management experience. - Multi-project experience. - Attitude - high energy, positive outlook, tenacious, identifies and seeks resolution to issues early.ATK is on the move.
