INTRODUCTION My Client, a global Program Management Firm delivering professional management and engineering services to both commercial and federal clients is seeking a dedicated and hard working Electrical Engineer PE to manage oversight of field electrical aspects of project. PROJECT DESCRIPTION - SCOPE Afghanistan Military Garrison –construction management, QA including civil, electrical and mechanical. ENGINEERING PROFILE· Electrical engineer with 7 – 15 years experience in design/build infrastructure projects with low rise mixed use buildings.· Capable of being involved with all aspects of a project, from start to finish, often acting not only as the creative lead, but as the team leader as well.· Excellent communication skills with ability to work as a team member of a multi cultural construction workforce, foster collaboration and earn respect for making good leadership and management decisions.· Experience from any of the engineering corps services as NCO or Jr Officer OR anyone (civilian engineer) with adventure DNA in their make up. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES · Anticipate and identify a customers needs and translate them into design specifications· Identify and monitor project milestones· Supervise construction plans and specifications and work with local contractors on issues· Select and recommend materials with local contractors· Write performance requirements, instructions, and reports as necessary QUALIFICATIONS Minimum of 7 years of executive management experience in the engineering or construction field. Bachelor’s degree in Business Electrical Engineering or equivalent field. Adequate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, Primavera or Prolog. Self starter, willing to “roll-up your sleeves” to get things done Strong leadership, decision making and communication skills are critical.
