Our company distributes our products through OEM sales and aftermarket sales.  We supply head units, speaker systems, navigations, and etc to GM and Toyota as well as distributing our products as aftermarket to end-users or retailers.

 

Fujitsu Ten has an immediate opening for an ELECTRICAL ENGINEER

 

Summary: Act as a support and back up to main product engineer in the department with focus on interfacing with the customer base and product Development Team in Japan with regards to electrical engineering and validating issues on automotive electronics.

 

Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesFollow up and maintaining timeline (progress check) with Product Development Team in Japan, US Manufacturing, Plant and main Local Client. Confirm and review final electrical manual drawing and cross reference with Product Development Team in JapanCreate list of technical parts related to product as a tool guide to main our local clientsSubmit materials and reports to respective departmentsConfirm project development statusMaintain schedules for the departmentMain contact window with Mexico Manufacturing Plant Obtain information requested by Product Development Team in Japan from the customerProvide required information to the customer Perform various vehicle and product test including functional evaluation and experimental installations. Test and evaluate schedule depending on vehicle availability and requires flexible and urgent travel schedule. Responsible for reviewing and negotiating customer specifications and requirements Investigate and solve engineering and quality issues Create technical reports Prepare necessary documentation, material, reports etc. for customer engineering meetings. Requested necessary input to Product Development Team in Japan as part of preparationDevelop and maintain open issue list for customer engineering meetingsAuthor meetings from customer meetingsGain in-depth understanding of customer requirements/requests to give clear and concrete instructions to Product Development Team in Japan. Support customer APQP/PPAP/ISIR requirements Customer plant support especially during product launch period. Provide engineering support for manufacturingMay perform market research and product planning dutiesTranslation of technical documents as necessary

 

Qualifications:Ability of schematics reading, hardware troubleshooting, tests and measurements.Ability to prepare and perform technical presentations to OEMSHighly organized, meticulous and methodical Excellent written communication skills Willing to close work with cross-cultural teams. Willing to support and work on non-electrical issues as needed such as mechanical issues to make sure on-time deliveries and quality customer support.   Understanding of PPAP/APQP Requirements Proficiency with MS software (word, Excel, and PowerPoint)Ability to travel internationally Bachelor’s degree in Electronical Engineer or equivalent Must be fluent in both English and Japanese
