Electrical Designer - Switchgear - The People Bank
Our Client is a leader in power and automation technologies that enable utility and industry customers to improve performance while lowering environmental impact. They operate in around 100 countries and employ about 117,000 people. We are currently working with our Client to identify and recruit an Electrical Designer to join their team of engineering professionals in Montreal.
The Designer is responsible for:
*
Generate project drawings from customer supplied drawings and specifications as well as applicable industry standards
*
General arrangement layout
*
Single & 3 line diagrams
*
Electrical diagrams per customer requirements
*
Protection and alarm schematics
*
Switchgear design and interconnection scheme
*
AC/DC Control and protection wiring
*
Wiring and tagging schedule
*
Coordinate and Collaborate with the mechanical designers
*
Support for Switchgear projects
*
Interact with project teams
Qualifications:
*
Electrical Technologist degree completed
*
3-4 years electrical design experience for switchgear or other related equipment
*
Excellent communication skills in French and English are a must
*
Good knowledge of CSA, ANSI standards for switchgear
*
Very Good MV & LV switchgear knowledge
*
Electrical design and drafting. Preparation of electrical drawings
*
AutoCAD is a must
*
Good general computer skills (Word, Excel, etc...)
*
Ideal candidate would have strong mechanical awareness
*
Ideal candidate would be proficient with E-Plan as well as Solidworks
