 Title/Role: Electrical Design Engineer
Department: Product Design
Reports to: Project Manager
FLSA Status: Exempt
Summary: This position will begin working on the next generation logging tool and be responsible for the design of electronics for down hole sensors.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities: Designing of electronics for down hole sensors. Duties will include design, testing, documentation and product support of hardware for use in a down hole environment. Development of real-time firmware and debugging software for use in data acquisition subsystems. Assist with defining requirements and writing specifications for embedded software and hardware at a sub-system level. Required Skills
Education:Â
 Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required. Masters degree preferred.
Experience: Analog and digital instrumentation design experience. Development of embedded software for microprocessors and DSP is also required. Design of electronics for high temperature use is a plus Knowledge, skills and abilities: Ability to develop designs from concept to final production. Knowledge of C and C++.  Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be self motivated.  Must be a team player.Able to work without daily structure.  Experience working with scanners and electronic design.
