Along with competitive pay, this position includes the opportunity to design/implement electrical systems for AC drive trains and develop motor and generator solutions. Engineers on this team will determine electric machine designs and specifications, test components, and work with suppliers to manage costs and ensure deliveries meet the program schedule. This position is located in Peoria Illinois. It requires 25% or less travel and relocation is provided. The following experience will make for an ideal applicant.1. Knowledge of motors, generators, and power converters.2. Experience in electromagnetic designs in electrical machinery.3. Familiarity with power electronics, hardware design and operation.4. An understanding of Permanent Magnet, Switched Reluctance, and AC induction generators or traction motors.5. Motor modeling experience.We are especially interested in engineers with the following proficiencies1. Electric Drive traction and control systems, especially in automotive, rail, or heavy machinery.2. High Speed Data Acquisition tools.3. Six Sigma or related processes.4.
