ELECTRICAL ENGINEER POWER & LIGHTING
ELECTRICAL ENGINEER

Bachelors degree in engineering from ABET accredited university required.
Experience in consulting engineering designing power & lighting systems for small, medium and large commercial and institutional buildings.
Excellent communication skills (oral/written) required.
LEED certification a plus.
AutoCAD proficiency for drawing production is a plus.
EIT or P.E. registration a plus.
Typical day to day duties:
1. Provide the limited scope of design services for electrical engineering discipline for projects including lighting and power systems.
2. Production engineering, design calculations, ACAD drawing prep, plan reviews, and inter-discipline coordination.
3. Responses to client needs in a fast-company, dynamic working environment.
4. Assist with project management of MEP projects with limited responsible charge for project delivery, quality, and performance.
Job Description:
Electrical Engineer
Essential Functions and Responsibilities Engineering detailed design, engineering calculations, selection and specification of materials and equipment, cost estimating, specifications writing, plan preparation including supervision and plan checking, research and conceptual studies, facilities layout, conceptual designs and construction observations and field engineering. Oral and written communications with those being supervised and with peers, clients, outside agencies, vendors, suppliers and consultants is a critical part of the job.
Engineering/Management tasks include project-level activities such as the scoping and scheduling of projects and tasks, contract administration, coordination of tasks, work planning and management, and contacts with outside agencies, sub-consultants and clients. Senior Engineers and Project Managers must be accountable for the technical and financial performance of projects.
Other Responsibilities:
Perform other tasks as assigned.
Ability to supervise drafters, technicians, project secretaries and other engineers with assigned tasks. Ability to instruct personnel at all levels concerning assigned engineering activities.
Job Requirements (minimum):
