Due Diligence/ M&A Program Manager
Qualified candidate will have a minimum of 15 years of related environmental experience, including 10 years of environmental due diligence and mergers & acquisitions transaction support consulting to private sector clients. The applicant must have existing relationships with potential clients in the region, including corporate financial officers, attorneys, investment bankers, and venture capitalists. The applicant must have knowledge of issues within key client sectors (including for example, oil and gas, chemical/pharmaceutical, power, manufacturing, and high tech) and shall be well versed in environmental risk, environmental compliance, health & safety compliance, remediation liabilities, and the structure and elements of transaction agreements. The applicant must have a valid driver's license and car and be able to drive throughout the region for client related projects. The position requires travel by plane outside the region to support client work in other locations (local, national, and international) on occasion (25% estimated travel time). Job Description : URS seeks a senior seller-doer" in the National Capital Region area to join the Due Diligence/Mergers& Acquisitions practice. The ideal candidate for this position is a creative, motivated self-starter and team player to develop, manage, and oversee consulting projects supporting financial and real estate transactions. This individual will be a visible, senior level member of the transaction support and due diligence team operating under a seller-doer model. Successful candidate must be comfortable in senior roles in business development and project execution. Primary work responsibilities within the DD/M&A business line would include:* Business Development: Promoting the growth of URS' market share within these service areas. Develop and implement business strategies, develop new clients, maintain strong relationships and expand services with existing clients, identify and develop new service areas to support client needs. Leverage the M&A role to capture work in engineering, compliance, management systems, sustainability, outsourcing, and integration support, among others. Monitor client competitive landscape and major competitors to anticipate trends and provide leadership with timely intelligence on market movement.* Project Execution: Help clients with internal processes for managing transaction risks. Manage and prepare concise reports as required by the client that assess potential environmental liability risks in compliance and operational status at various private and public sector facilities. Coordinate the equipment and technical experts required to complete a wide range of value-added technical, environmental, and health and safety services.* Team Development: Recruit, train, and mentor staff as needed to meet expected work loads. Develop work scope and budgets, coordinate and oversee multi-disciplinary staff. Work closely with Team Leader, Group Leader, and other corporate practice leaders to develop, propose, and perform a wide range of financial transaction support services on a local, national, and global basis.The successful candidate will be expected to become a certified URS Project Manager within 6 months of hire.urscb1xurs07x : : EOE M/F/D/V
